Shaft (2000) is a John Singleton directed sequel/spinoff of the 1971 original. A movie stars Samuel L. Jackson as John Shaft, Toni Collette, Vanessa L. Williams, Jeffrey Wright, and Christian Bale. A actor from either a original pic, Richard Roundtree, also briefly reprises his role when John Shaft, a uncle to Jackson's character.
